After a long time...

Well - thats been a really long break I guess! Have a couple of genuine reasons - was really buzy! Boy - can I also get buzy or what?!? Well, this was proof enough that I could...did not get to watch the prime time shows every day, did not get to watch the routine tamil movies from the web site, missed all the Pongal super hits in the process and much much more! Finally am back, back with a bang, back in my idling self - feels nice to be back to the usual lazy stuff! ;-)

Had been working on a small project that had to be presented in Los Angeles. So was in LA for 10 days - was great - work kept me buzy for the full week and the weekend was fun with loads of driving. LA is one of those wierd cities (in a good sense)....so much traffic ...all the lanes are packed, can you imagine all the lanes filled with cars, be it 8am or sometimes as late as 8pm! Drove around Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Sunset Blvd and what not. It was fun to walk around without a jacket in the month of January. Irony - it was almost 80 F the day I left LA and landed in Buffalo to experience a snowy 15 F weather!!! Well, back to wearing the thick jackets and shoveling.

Also, in the mean time the India - Pak test series has concluded and India suffered a loss. Guess, India could have definitely salvaged a draw. The first two test matches were dead rubbers and made the test series very boring going into the decider. One Day series has taken a momentum, should be interesting to see how it shapes up. Dhoni seems to be in great form and literally demolished the Pakistani attack in the 3rd one day. There has been a lot of discussions on Tendulkar's form (or lack of it) - the man is a genius - leave him alone and let him play his usual game. Its suprising to see the media take a hit on this man, who has given so much to the Indian cricket. GONEguly and ENDulkar - well - before I say this is not right - I have to appreciate the creativity of the folks who coined this...this is first class stuff! ;-)

Watched a couple of Pongal release movies last weekend - Aadhi, Saravana, Paravisam. Hmm...all time pass movies...Aadhi was a let down. Ajith's comeback - not sure how good a comeback was that. Saravana - was pacy. Overall, it was a very relaxed weekend - a much deserved one as well.
