Chennai has the potential to become the Detroit of South Asia...

Had been intending to share an article from Hindu for a while. Chennai apparently seems to be the place favored by many auto manufacturers. There are many reasons for this - natural harbor, cost, intelligent government lobbying among others. However, there are a couple of features that Chennai lacks such as work ethic, quality standards, cost, low attrition rates and the govertment support - all of which have been highlighted in a conference held recently. This is a good starting point for sure and hope the think-tank can strive to get Chennai to where they envision. Imagine Chennai being termed as Detroit of South Asia!!! Click here for the article.

BMW is going to set up a 20 acre plant in Chennai - how cool is that? Check the article at the
Economic Times Software exports are also on the rise from Chennai and is next next to Bangalore in India. Chennai seems to be heading in the right direction. Check this one at my friend's blog - why not?!?
