Its snow time...

More snow

Its been a while since I got to post anything. Been a buzy month. Its winter time and time of the year for the SNOW!!! Time of the year to get all the warm clothes that were put aside for 7 months, time of the year to start shoveling the snow every morning and time of the year to start accumulating all the fat in the body!!! The bright sunlight is very deceptive - it lures you into walking outside, only to get the nose frozen! Its pretty when the snow falls and when it is white, but that is only in movies that it stays white and the flurries are so nice to see. Right after that, the dirty brown snow is not something to savor! Last week, Buffalo witnessed the first snow of the year and it was a pretty rough. Some places had 23 inches of snow.

Its Thanksgiving today and looks like the nature has its way to say "Happy ThanksGiving!" by having the biting cold winds blow over this place. Its definitely not pretty outside. Its BlackFriday tomorrow and it will be crazy shopping the whole of tomorrow. Its the busiest retail shopping days of the year. For manufacturers the next 30 days is probably the time for making their profits for the entire year. People stand in front of the stores as early as 4am (even in this weather) and make best of use of the deals.

Looking forward for the winter ahead...

    Thanks Echo! Well....Happy winter - not sure about that! Its just November and there was a record temperature of -10 C! Its like saying have a happy summer to Chennaites! ;-) Actually - folks get to stay indoors most of the time - so it really does not matter!

    adha pathi pesaatheenga maams! the current form of "team india" is praise worthy - but what is baffling is the way at which they lose some times - without a fight! Again, the kolkata crowd's reaction to the non-inclusion of ganguly in the odi team is something not to be proud of. if this continues - there will be a day when dravid will be removed and the bangalore crowd are going to be mad and when vvs is removed, the h'bad crowd is gonna be mad! where is the team spirit?!?
