Interesting theory on Harry Potter ...

My friend sent this to me, he in turn found it in some web site...(probably HPANA)

I think Snape is still good, we haven't yet found out why Dumbledore trusted him but I think we will in book seven. When Dumbledore is questioned about Snape he has said in previous books 'I trust him with my life' which I think means he's the one person he would trust to kill him if need be. Snape resented Dumbledore for making him take the unbreakable vow, that's why Hagrid heard Snape say to Dumbledore in the forest that he was asking too much and that he didn't want to do it anymore. Also that he should look in his house perhaps to find out how Draco was planning to attempt it.

I think Snape looked angry when he killed Dumbledore because he hated him for making him do it. Dumbledore wasted his chance to get away by stunning Harry because he knew Harry would try to save him but Dumbledore wanted to die to save Snape and Draco's lives and keep Snape near Voldermort to help Harry when they have their final fight in book seven. Dumbledore had to trust Snape to do it which is why he wanted to see him when he knew he was weak and probably easier to kill, he pleaded with him which isn't out of character if you realise he was pleading that Snape wouldn't loose his resolve. Snape never tries to hurt Harry and is actually a pretty good teacher by the sounds of it, I think Dumbledore gave him the DADA job because he knew it was Snape's last chance to do the job he'd always wanted before he had to kill Dumbledore and go on the run.

In chapter 28 Snape never tries to hurt Harry just defend himself and give Draco time to escape. He even gives Harry advice on how to improve his duelling and saves his life for the millionth time when the blonde death eater tries to kill him. He is extremely angry that Harry calls him a coward because he's just had to do something no other order member would have the strength to do: follow Dumbledore's orders to kill him. I think the other Order members would never have agreed to Dumbledore's plans and would have tried to stop him, which is why they couldn't know. However it will be interesting to see how Snape convinces the Order in particular Harry that he is good and that Dumbledore wanted to die which I think he will have to do in the next book. I also think we'll find out why Dumbledore trusted Snape whether it was because he loved Lily or has a family to protect (JK Rowling has said Snape doesn't have a daughter but not no children so perhaps he has a son). Finally another reason for Snape’s anger is that Harry called him a coward when he had to kill Dumbledore to give Harry a bit more time, he resents being called a coward by someone he hates who he just had to do something terrible to protect, Voldermort will be distracted by his success and see Harry as less of a threat because he doesn’t have Dumbledore’s assistance but he doesn’t realise Harry now knows how to kill him.

That's his theory anyway :-) what does everyone think?
