Journey to Jersey

It was a welcome break to get out of Buffalo. In what I would term a totally unplanned trip to NJ/NY/PA - it turned out to be simply awesome. Took a sudden decision to leave Buffalo on March 24th for the 4 days long weekend. Left Buffalo around 9pm along with my colleague Jagdeep and reached Kullu's (ex-TIL) place in NJ around 3am.

We woke up late on Friday and landed straight in a Indian joint for Chicken Biriyani! Oaktree road has nothing but Indian stuff ... what a place to be in! It was Vishnu's (one of my very close friend's from Salem) Bday and he arranged a nice party at his place that evening. Varthika's mom had made a lot of food and had a change to meet a bunch of really sweet folks - all friends of Vishnu's!

Visited my friend Prashanth and whiled away some time until Kullu and Manoj joined us. (All TIL junta) Saturday evening was even more eventful with a couple of Vishnu's friends and I making it to a club in NJ. It was an astounding place and we hanged around till 2am. On our way back Vishnu was pulled over for speeding and the cop was nice to let him go with a small fine and no ticket. Visited Sri Mama on Sunday and I picked up food from NJ. Met my cousin and a relative later in the evening - kinda Sunday was devoted to family stuff. More home food...needless to say I gained close to 4 pounds...but hey it was worth it.

On our way back - made this dash to Allentown, PA and met with Deepa a.k.a. Monee (another very good buddy of mine from Chennai). It was her Baby Shower function and boy it was so damn nice to meet her! Had some traditional south Indian food and braved our way back to Buffalo in the heavvvvyyyy rain and fog! The trip can be summed up for 3 things - Food, Fun and Folks! Hogged lot of food, had loads of fun and met a lot of folks. Life is definitely outside Buffalo and re-discovered what it is to have some fun!
