India vs Pakistan 3rd Test - India gift away the test to Pakistan

Time and again India has proved its hospitality to the Pakistani team. There seems to be no other logical reason for this perplexing performance by Team India. India lost to Pakistan by 168 runs and thus enabling Pakistan to square the most awaited series at 1-1. I tried my best to
offer a saving grace for the team, but could find none - so here it is - India abdicated!!!

Ganguly seems to have given the most obvious reason for the loss - India getting defensive! C'mon skipper, we all are literate enough to interpret the slow scoring rate as defensive tactics! But - was it an experiment or was it the think tank's brilliant idea to save the match or was it the painful sight of Tendulkar's batting or was it something else. It is utter bewilderment to see three most experienced players - Tendulkar, Ganguly and Laxman (whom I think should be held responsible for this loss) show absolutely no grit. Its easy to talk in retrospect and say Kaif or Yuvraj would have saved the match - but its time for Laxman and Ganguly to pave way for the youngsters.

From a Pakistan stand point - due credits to Inzi who had a memorable 100th test match, to Younis Khan who made look batting so easy, to Afridi who plundered the Indian attack on Day 4 and last but not the least to our Team India to confer the confidence to a team that were truly the underdogs before the start of the series. Lets hope the One Day series gives the fans something to savor from the series!!!
