India vs Pak 3rd Test Day I - Pakistan plunder India
India vs Pakistan Third Test - Day I
1st Innings - Pak: 327/2 90 overs
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat on a placid batting track. Inzi was finally lucky to win the toss on a crucial encounter against India.
Bangalore pitch has the reputation of giving an edge to the team batting first and all the captains who have the won the toss earlier have elected to bat. Inzi did the same and within the first 5 overs had both the openers back in the pavillion. He had earlier mentioned "Do or Die" and walked in with a score of 7/2. Balaji was on fire and so was Pathan each one of them taking care of one of the openers. The ever cool as cucumber Inzi showed absolutely no pressure and played a gem of an innings to take his team not only out of danger but steer them into a position from where they can dictate terms in this test match. He along with his deputy Younis Khan snatched away any initiative siezed by India in the morning.
Inzi who is playing at 184, is one among the elite few to notch a century in the 100th test. Younis Khan is ably supporting him at 127. Well if there is no mention about the Indian bowlers it is simply because there is nothing to talk about it. Yes - it was a dead track, but does not mean you should be imaginative in bowling.
Day II Prospects...
Inzi is bound to get to a big score and Pakistan is all set to amass a 600+ score. The key for India will be wickets at regular intervals. Another partnership and India can bid good-bye to the test match! Hope the local hero can come good and cause a Pakistani slide...Go India...
