India-Pak 1st Test Day II - Rain dominates day's play
India vs Pakistan First Test - Day II -
1st Innings: Pakistan - 312 / all out
India 184/1 of 40 overs.
Fans had to patiently wait for the dark clouds to move over from Mohali which dominated most of the Day II of the 1st Test between India and Pak. However, perserverence paid as Sehwag continued his Multan Test form by scoring a quickfire 95 n.o. Earlier when the play resumed at 2:20pm, the tone was set earlier on by Gautam Gambhir who slashed the first ball to the third man fence! Gambhir played a flawless innings until he was out for a well made 41 of 46 balls.
Enter "The Wall" - played his usual innings and provided company to Sehwag to end the day at 39. Sehwag indebts his score to the two easy catches that were dropped. Neverthless - he is 5 short of yet another century in his 1st innings of a test match.
Day III Prospects:
If rain holds up and India could play the entire day tomorrow to post a big total - they will have the upper hand. However with the morning dew, if the Paki bowlers can snare a couple of wickets - ita advantage Pakistan! Will have to wait and see what happens.....
